Job summary

Lumin Digital is seeking a Security Platform Engineer in San Francisco to design and operate a scalable security fabric across cloud environments. You will build AI-assisted workflows, telemetry, and GitOps-driven deployments for AWS and Kubernetes, while collaborating with Security Operations and Risk teams.

Expect to write production Python tools, manage cross-account security and on-call rotations, and drive automation to reduce manual toil over time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/SE/Cybersecurity or equivalent demonstrated experience.
• Industry AWS/Kubernetes/Terraform certifications are valued but not required.
• 5+ years in platform/reliability engineering or DevSecOps with automation focus.
• At least 1 year of production experience with agentic coding tools (Claude Code, etc.).
• Production Python code experience and IaC tooling (Terraform).
• Cloud-native infrastructure in AWS, Kubernetes, multi-account/multi-region styles.
• Experience with security telemetry platforms and GitOps deployment patterns.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate a scalable, reliable security fabric across environments.
• Create AI-driven workflows to automate security platform tasks.
• Develop telemetry, log analytics, and observability pipelines.
• Implement GitOps deployment patterns for security infra in AWS accounts/regions.
• Write production-grade Python tools for platform operations.
• Secure and operate Kubernetes workloads in EKS with RBAC and policies.
• Design cross-account/multi-region security infrastructure (KMS, IAM, VPC).
• Participate in on-call rotations and incident response with Security Operations.
• Support audits and compliance through automated data-flow evidence.
• Collaborate with Security Engineers, Risk, and SRE teams to share knowledge.
• Evaluate emerging AI patterns and prototypes for platform reliability.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
