Job summary

Voltage is building infrastructure to power a scalable Lightning payments platform. We design and operate high-performance systems to support reliable global payments, with a focus on security and resilience.

This is a hands-on role joining a fast-moving team in the United States. You will scale and maintain Kubernetes-based infrastructure and PostgreSQL databases, implement monitoring, and drive operational best practices to reduce risk as we grow.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Experience scaling and operating PostgreSQL databases in production.
• Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure and distributed systems.
• Experience with infrastructure automation, monitoring, and security practices.
• Risk management mindset, system hardening, and operational resilience.
• Curiosity about Bitcoin and the Lightning Network (bonus).

Responsibilities

• Scale and maintain Kubernetes-based infrastructure.
• Design and operate scalable PostgreSQL databases in production.
• Build systems focusing on security, reliability, and fault tolerance.
• Support infrastructure powering Lightning Network payments.
• Implement security, monitoring, and observability best practices.
• Identify and mitigate operational and infrastructure risks as we scale.
