Job summary

Basic Capital is a fintech company in New York, seeking a founding member for the Infrastructure & Security team. This role will involve ensuring platform reliability, security compliance, and optimizing cloud infrastructure (AWS). You will implement security controls and build monitoring systems to maintain SOC 2 compliance.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS (EC2, RDS, Lambda).
• Proven track record implementing security best practices and compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, or similar).
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Proficiency in containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong understanding of networking and security principles.

Responsibilities

• Be a founding member of the Infrastructure & Security team.
• Own SOC 2 Type II compliance, implementing security controls.
• Design observability systems for logging and monitoring.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code.
• Optimize system performance and cost efficiency.
• Manage AWS cloud infrastructure securely.
