Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Virginia is seeking an Infra Delivery Install Technician to support AWS data centers. You will move and install large enterprise equipment, install cabling, and ensure safety standards are followed to keep networks reliable.

You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, travel between sites as needed, and perform hands-on hardware work and troubleshooting in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
1+ years of computer networking experience.
Experience in computer networking and Linux operating systems.
Can lift and rack equipment up to 40 pounds.
18+ months of experience in data center or similar technical roles.
18+ months of experience with network cabling, optic types, and test equipment (VFL, power meter, OTDR).

Responsibilities

Moving and installing large enterprise equipment.
Installing fiber and copper cabling and patching between equipment.
Maintaining safety and security standards during cabling and rack installation.
Following established hardware installation procedures and break-fix activities.
Safely using material handling tools and equipment.
Traveling within and outside of the regional work area as required.
