Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a Cost Leader for Infra Innovation Ops in Austin. The role focuses on streamlining processes, budget control, contracts, and expense data across infra departments to consolidate findings and vendor compliance for the S2 cost process.

The manager will lead TFT activities, deploy large cross-functional projects, and drive improvements in cost control with a focus on sub-departments and programs. Full-time on-site role with competitive rewards.

Qualifications

• BS degree required - Engineering, Industrial Engineer or related field preferred.
• Semiconductor MFG experience required - five+ years of engineering experience preferred.
• Project management skills required; formal training preferred.
• Sr Engineer or higher (Internal SASC candidates).

• Collect and analyze cost metrics and invoicing data.
• Coordinate TFT activities to improve cost processes.
• Collaborate with Infra Engineering, manufacturing, Sister Fabs and executives for compliance.

Position Summary

This position is for our Austin Infra Cost Leader in Infra Innovation Ops. This team is focused on streamlining processes, controlling budgets, facilitating contracts, monitoring and analyzing expense data, working across infra departments to consolidate findings and vendor compliance for the all cost process as it relates to S2 (Austin). As a Manager / TR, they would lead this team to work together to facilitate processes and troubleshoot issues relating to Cost Management.

Role and Responsibilities

• DemonstrateeffectivecollaborationwithS2InfraDepartments(FacilityServices,HVAC,Electric,GCS,AT,iQA,WTR)toimproveteammetrics
• Datacollection,analysis,andcollaborativeimprovementsofS2CostmetricsincludingInvoicingTAT,OntimePayment,SystemUtilization,rulescompliance,expensecontrol,promotionofsavingsandothers.
• ParticipateandManageTFTsactivitiestoimproveCostprocesses
• CollaboratewithInfraEngineering,manufacturing,SisterFabs,supportgroups,andexecutivestoensurecompliancetoexternalandinternalspecificationsandguidance.
• Leadthedeploymentofmediumtolarge-scaleprojectsthatarecross-functionalinnatureandhavevisibilitytocompanyexecutives
• Analyzeandmakerecommendationstohelpimprovecostcontrolfocusingonmajorandminorindicesforeachsub‑department’sprocessesandprograms
• Communicatetheresultsofanalysis,driveimprovementsandsharewithpeers,managers,andexecutives.

Skills and Qualifications

Here’s What You’ll Need:

• BSdegreerequired- Engineering,IndustrialEngineerorrelatedfieldpreferred.
• SemiconductorMFGexperiencerequired-Five+yearsofengineeringexperiencepreferred.
• Projectmanagementskillsrequired;formaltrainingpreferred
• SrEngineerorhigher(InternalSASCandidates)

The current base salary range for this role is between $106,000 - $145,000. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.

This position may include access to controlled information or technology under U.S. export control laws.
