Job summary

LG Electronics is seeking a Validation Engineer (Contractor) to validate infotainment and telematics systems. You will work with cross-functional teams, QA, and customers to launch projects, log defects, review data, and create test cases.

This role involves frequent collaboration with overseas teams and requires travel up to 30%. Responsibilities include test bench setup, field tests with OEMs, and supporting R&D and DQA across regions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Ability to travel up to 30% (Domestic & International).
• Knowledge of test bench and vehicle setup.
• In-car infotainment systems technologies.
• Specifications and ability to analyze test results.
• Process on how to create test cases with the appropriate test case structure.
• Vehicle communication protocols.

Responsibilities

• Perform validation for infotainment/telematic products by utilizing test benches and vehicles.
• Execute basic Sanity checks, customer-found issues, updated specifications and full test cases.
• Analyze test results to determine if products meet specifications.
• Create/maintain test cases per product specifications.
• Utilize tracking system to report and track product defects.
• Test bench setup / SW updates.
• Field Test / Joint field test with OEM.
• OEM Support with visits and updates to fix issues.
• Audit Event Support and issue analysis/reproduction.
• Maintain relationships with overseas counterparts to share information.
• Support to resolve technical issues.
• Arrange test vehicle usage with customers for validation activities.
• Support and communicate with R&D in NA and Korea.
