Job summary

LG Electronics is seeking a Development Engineer II CONTRACTOR to conduct MNO certification testing for cellular-connected automotive products in the United States. The role requires LTE/5G knowledge, test plan execution, and close collaboration with labs, carriers, and cross-functional teams.

You will monitor progress, document results, and ensure timely delivery of certification deliverables while supporting product launch readiness. Up to 30% travel is possible.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of LTE, 5G, VoLTE and network protocols.
• Experience in validation, certification, testing, or related engineering activities.
• Ability to analyze technical issues, perform root cause analysis, and drive resolution.

Responsibilities

• Perform MNO certification testing and validation for cellular-connected automotive products.
• Prepare test plans, execute test cases, and document results for certification processes.
• Investigate network, modem, software, and system issues identified during testing and aid root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with development teams, labs, and carriers to resolve certification issues.
• Monitor milestones and provide status updates on testing progress and issue closure.
• Ensure certification deliverables meet schedule and carrier requirements.
• Maintain documentation, test reports, and issue-tracking records.
• Support product launch readiness activities related to certifications.
