Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc. (HATCI) seeks an experienced Mobile App Engineer to join the Mobile App and Automation Team within the Infotainment Development Department.

The role focuses on NA mobile app platforms, innovation, server optimization, and integration into connected car systems. You will support validation, develop procedures, conduct bench and in-vehicle tests, and collaborate with cross-functional teams across infotainment software, electronics, and product strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years developing specifications and design verification test plans for mobile app products.
• 3+ years of professional experience contributing to smartphone app design/validation.
• Experience handling post-launch activities to maintain quality for mobile app operation.
• Familiarity with mobile app and server/cloud architecture.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with adjacent teams.

Responsibilities

• Support NA mobile app validation and operation efforts, including spec reviews and developing validation procedures.
• Conduct competitive studies, clinics, and system evaluations to refine specifications and troubleshoot interactions.
• Create and evaluate innovative technologies for potential implementation into Hyundai infotainment platforms.
• Establish operation test processes with NA stakeholders to support post-launch activities.
• Create and expand mobile app dashboards and health indexes to track performance.
• Participate in port-interface audits, quality gate reviews, field issue assessments, and cross-functional meetings.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations for management and stakeholders.
• Use automated toolsets and data-driven methods to test mobile app features.
• Collaborate with infotainment software and product strategy teams to ensure smooth integration across vehicle systems.
• Travel up to 20% domestically and internationally.
