Rivian and Volkswagen Group Technologies seeks an Embedded Software Engineer to advance the ECU software stack for infotainment and vehicle controls. You will work on bring-up, validation, and optimization across a next-generation embedded system stack, collaborating with hardware engineers and validation teams.

The role emphasizes driver integration, middleware, and user-space application development, with a strong focus on performance and reliability in fast-paced automotive environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of Embedded Software Development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with high-performance SoCs (e.g., Snapdragon, NVIDIA Orin, MediaTek) and automotive-grade SoCs.
• Proficient in Embedded Linux, QNX, DriveOS; experience with hypervisor-based systems.
• Strong background in multimedia development focusing on camera/display subsystems; ECU-level software for infotainment.

Responsibilities

• ECU Platform Bring-up & Optimization for infotainment systems, including boot, driver integration, and system-level debugging.
• Design, develop, and implement features for ECU validation and testing.
• Develop and execute validation strategies, including stress testing and performance benchmarking.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers and validation teams to ensure seamless ECU integration.
• Document software designs, APIs, and test procedures; communicate with stakeholders and OEMs.
