Job summary

AT&T Global Public Sector in Columbia, Maryland, is seeking an Information Systems Security Engineer to support vulnerability management, assess scanning results, and strengthen the security posture across environments. The role requires DoD STIGs and RMF experience, TS/SCI with polygraph, and an IAT II/CASP or CISSP certification.

Office presence is required, no relocation. Candidates will configure Tenable.sc and Nessus, develop dashboards in Splunk, and help prepare audits and continuous

Qualifications

• Experience as an ISSE on Federal government programs is desirable.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline required.
• Alternative: Associate’s degree with Security+ and 2 years IT experience.
• Alternative: HS diploma with 4 years IT experience including security.

Responsibilities

• Perform vulnerability scans, analyze results, and coordinate remediation.
• Support security assessments and RMF activities; apply DoD 8570 requirements.
• Configure Tenable.sc and Nessus; develop dashboards for risk visualization.
• Assist in audits, evidence collection, and STIG compliance documentation.
• Provide security operations support and effective communication within teams.
