Job summary

GCS Recruitment is seeking an Information Security Consultant for a remote role spanning the UK and Ireland. You will help mature and modernise the security programme, collaborating with engineering, technology, operations and business teams to ensure controls are effective in practice.

This role focuses on owning and evolving ISO 27001, closing control gaps, validating control effectiveness, and supporting audits, risk management and ongoing compliance activities. Remote, UK & Ireland coverage.

Qualifications

We're partnering with a fast-growing technology organisation looking for an experienced Information Security Specialist to help mature and modernise its security programme. This is an opportunity to join a small, highly visible security function where you'll work closely with engineering, technology, operations and business teams to ensure security controls are not just documented, but effective in practice.

You'll play a key role in driving security assurance across the organisation by:

• Owning and continuously improving an established ISO 27001 programme
• Identifying and closing control and compliance gaps
• Validating that security controls are operating effectively, not just existing on paper
• Supporting audits, risk management and ongoing compliance activities
• Partnering with engineering, DevOps and business stakeholders

Ideal Background
