This Role Is

• 40 hours/week

The Ideal Candidate

• 7+ years' of experience in solution architecture, software development, and/or enterprise data governance
• Expertise in RESTful APIs, API Governance, and API platform development
• Advanced experience with cloud architectures and microservices
• Experience with Git, Azure DevOps, and Agile / Scrum methodologies
• Able to communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences
  
  

Plusses/Preferred

• Experience with Google Apigee and Backstage.io
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  
  

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide leadership in the technical design, selection, and application of information system resources to satisfy system's requirements
• Facilitate system technical reviews within the institution to ensure appropriate technical architecture and design. This includes understanding and applying concepts of enterprise architecture to ensure systems align, adhere and integrate with their technology.
• Assist with technical planning for areas supported by work units as part of yearly division planning
• Understand and apply concepts of enterprise architecture to ensure systems align, adhere and integrate within their environment
• Develop technical proposals that consider alternatives and business case, gain needed approvals and work with key stakeholders in the department
• Be considered an SME and be sought out for in-depth knowledge of a broad range of current technologies
• Participate on committees to establish technical standards, promote integration of data, and coordinate projects across work units
• Service as an active member of technical workgroups needed to advance project objectives
