Position Summary:

This is a long-term in-plant assignment in Beaumont, TX.

The IT Technician will be responsible for managing and maintaining the software used in a chemical facility, including LIMS software used in laboratories to track samples, manage workflows, and ensure data integrity. The role includes providing assistance and information regarding electronics, computers, and software problems, as well as hardware setup support within the chemical facility.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Learning new systems as needed.
• System Administration: managing the plant's LIMS software, including user access, permissions, and system configuration.
• Data Management: ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and security of data.
• Workflow Management: optimizing and maintaining laboratory workflows within the LIMS.
• Troubleshooting: identifying and resolving technical issues within the site's systems and software.
• Reporting: generating reports and analyzing data.
• Training: providing training to plant personnel on software use.
• System Upgrades: participating in system and software upgrades and implementations.

Qualifications include but are not limited to:

• Exposure to LIMS Software.
• Experience in a QA/QC environment is a plus.
• Knowledge of computer hardware/software, network configuration.
• Proficiency with Windows operating systems.
• Experience working in a chemical or refinery plant environment.
• Experience with data management and analysis.
