Job summary

Beyond Feedback is seeking a full-time IT Systems Administrator to maintain the health and security of our core business systems. You will automate tasks with Python, integrate APIs, and support Salesforce and SOC 2 compliance, all while keeping systems reliable and audit-ready.

You’ll work primarily remote with on-site days, collaborating with vendors and internal teams to ensure uptime and data protection as we scale toward 2035 goals. Strong scripting and troubleshooting skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in IT/CS.
• 3–5 years in systems administration or related role.
• Proficiency in Python for scripting and automation.
• Experience with TypeScript for full-stack development.
• Experience building and consuming APIs between systems.
• Working knowledge of Salesforce administration and fixes.
• Understanding SOC 2 security and audit readiness.

We have a new opportunity available for a full-time IT Systems Administrator to join us in our mission of reaching 35M survey participants by 2035.

What You’ll Do

• Own the day-to-day health and performance of Beyond Feedback’s core business systems, keeping uptime and reliability where they need to be.
• Monitor our systems proactively so small issues get caught before they become big ones.
• Act as the point person for IT support tickets, prioritizing and resolving requests or looping in vendors on the more complex issues.
• Serve as our primary break/fix resource for Salesforce and other company systems, diagnosing and resolving issues as they come up.
• Design, build, and maintain the APIs and integrations that move data securely and reliably between our systems.
• Write Python scripts that support automation, integrations, and ongoing system maintenance.
• Monitor and maintain the systems, controls, and processes that keep our data secure and audit-ready, supporting our SOC 2 compliance program.
• Uphold Beyond Feedback’s IT policies, keeping our team’s day-to-day use of systems and data aligned with them.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for our IT vendors and managed service providers, keeping performance in check and escalating when needed.
• Handle hardware setup and configuration so new team members are ready to go on day one.
• Manage systems onboarding and offboarding, provisioning and de-provisioning access across the tools our team relies on.
• Document systems, processes, and procedures so we’re always ready for continuity, growth, and audits.

What You Bring to the Table (Required Qualifications)

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3–5 years of experience in systems administration, IT management, or a related technical role.
• Proficiency in Python for scripting, automation, and integration work.
• Experience with TypeScript for full stack web development.
• Demonstrated experience building and consuming APIs to move data between systems.
• Working knowledge of Salesforce administration and break/fix troubleshooting.
• Understanding of data security principles and practices, including those relevant to SOC 2 compliance — and experience preparing for or supporting a SOC 2 or similar compliance audit.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across a range of business systems and applications.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to juggle multiple support requests at once.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills — you can explain a technical issue to a non-technical teammate without losing them (or talking down to them).
• Comfortable working independently and exercising sound judgment with minimal day-to-day supervision.

• Starting pay is between $85,000 and $100,000 per year, depending on experience.

Our Work-From-Home Arrangement

This role is primarily remote, with on-site time required for occasional equipment set-up and hands-on troubleshooting, as well as quarterly staff meetings. You must work from your primary residence located within 35 miles of our office so you can easily attend in-person meetings and be on-site when the work calls for it. You must have reliable internet service at home (minimum speed of 10MB download/5MB upload). You must have a dedicated workspace at your home that is free from distractions, just like you would if you worked from our office. Beyond Feedback provides all the equipment and systems you need to be successful.

The business hours and regular schedule for this role are 7am–4pm Monday through Friday.
