Professional Summary: We are seeking an accomplished, customer-focused IT Support Analyst to provide high-level onsite end-user computing and infrastructure support for continuous operations. This role is responsible for maintaining day-to-day IT functions across an industrial operating facility, encompassing desktop support, mobile device management, radio programming, hardware refreshes, and strategic cross-functional coordination. The ideal candidate will leverage advanced troubleshooting expertise, operational judgment, and a strict commitment to workplace safety to deliver reliable service across the facility.
Core Responsibilities:
- Execute prompt, onsite deskside and infrastructure support for end-user computing issues across primary facilities and remote local sites.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex issues involving hardware, software, mobile device environments, and specialized hand-held radio programming.
- Liaise with central infrastructure groups to coordinate, plan, and execute enterprise network, server, and hardware refresh initiatives.
- Manage vendors and external suppliers to fulfill service requests, infrastructure projects, and asset life-cycle activities.
- Collaborate directly with local operations and technical stakeholders to ensure IT service delivery aligns with operational priorities.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for technical procedures, supported hardware, network assets, and system configurations.
- Drive continuous improvement in IT service delivery by maximizing system reliability, quality control, and strict compliance with organizational standards.
- Provide occasional after-hours support during scheduled outages, maintenance windows, or system change implementations.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years of direct professional experience troubleshooting enterprise infrastructure systems and end-user computing environments.
- Legal authorization to work in the country where the role is posted.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and the ability to pass motor vehicle background checks.
- Possession of, or the immediate ability to obtain and maintain, a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).
- Demonstrated physical capability to navigate industrial sites, including climbing multiple flights of stairs, walking across field facilities, bending, stooping, lifting IT assets weighing up to 30 lbs., and transport equipment up to 100 lbs. via cart.
- Willingness to safely operate company motor vehicles between facilities located within a short distance of the primary office.
- Ability to work safely within an active industrial environment while adhering to all site safety policies and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) mandates.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
- 4–5 years of overall technical experience within an enterprise IT organization.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience supporting IT assets in a refining, midstream, or industrial operational environment.
- CompTIA A+ Certification or equivalent technical credential.
- Practical experience installing, configuring, and maintaining data center infrastructure.
- Demonstrated experience utilizing enterprise ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow), Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and remote support tools.
- Strategic analytical skills with a proven track record of prioritizing multiple competing operational demands.
- Position Type: Hourly Contract (Initial 1-year duration, with potential for extension)
- Schedule: Full-Time, 40 hours per week (Monday – Friday, daytime operational shift)
- Work Location: Onsite in Roxana, IL (100% Onsite; No remote work)
- On-Call/After-Hours: No standing on-call rotation; minimal after-hours/weekend support required (approximately 3 times per year for scheduled plant changes and outages)
