Job summary

ParetoHealth is seeking an Information Technology Intern to support our IT Infrastructure and Systems in our Philadelphia office. You will assist with maintaining servers, networks, and storage, and help provide technical support across the organization.

The role emphasizes learning in a fast-growing environment, collaboration with IT teams, and hands-on experience with cloud platforms and security best practices.

Qualifications

• Rising junior or senior attending an accredited college/university.
• Pursuing a degree in computer science, IT, or related field.
• Available to work in Philadelphia, PA office June–August.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing and maintaining IT infrastructure including servers and networks.
• Provide technical support for hardware, software, and connectivity.
• Perform routine system maintenance: updates, backups, patching.
• Monitor system performance and security, escalate issues as needed.
• Collaborate on implementing new technologies and upgrades.
• Document processes and configurations for IT operations.
• Participate in projects to improve infrastructure efficiency and scalability.
• Support endpoint management and asset tracking.

The Information Technology Intern at ParetoHealth supports our Information Technology department, specifically IT Infrastructure and Systems.

The Information Technology (IT) department at ParetoHealth is the backbone of our innovation, responsible for developing and maintaining systems that support our mission of delivering exceptional employee benefits solutions. The team focuses on creating secure, scalable, and efficient platforms that empower both our internal teams and clients. From managing cloud-based infrastructure to implementing cutting-edge analytics tools, our IT department plays a critical role in streamlining operations and driving data-driven decisions. With a strong emphasis on collaboration, security, and adaptability, the IT team ensures that ParetoHealth remains at the forefront of technological advancement in the healthcare benefits space.

Competencies desired

• Basic understanding of networking principles (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
• Familiarity with Windows and MacOS operating systems.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is a plus.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices is desirable.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• A proactive and resourceful approach to learning and task execution.

About you

Must be a Rising Junior or Rising Senior attending an accredited College or University.

Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Ability to work in our Philadelphia, PA office beginning in June through August.
