The Smithsonian Institution seeks an Information Technology Specialist to manage all data flowing through the systems portfolio, with emphasis on ArchivesSpace. Applicants must be U.S.
citizens and will design requirements, manage databases, and promote data quality across archives and libraries workflows. You will analyze data mappings, perform bulk transformations via APIs, and support project management and system lifecycle activities in a federal environment.
The Information Technology Specialist position manages all data that flows through the systems portfolio – most prominently (but not solely) ArchivesSpace.

There is no education requirement for this position. Education can not be used as a substitute in lieu of specialized experience at the GS-12 level.

Recruitment incentive(s) may be authorized for this position. However, approval for incentives are contingent upon various availability. If authorized, certain incentives will require the incumbent to sign a service agreement to remain in the Federal government for a certain time period.
