Position Summary

SierTeK Ltd. is seeking an Information Technology Specialist to support an opportunity at Wright Patterson AFB, OH.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior personnel in support of Information Technology program objectives.
• Install and maintain software program packages, configure applications, and analyze, design, purchase, and install information security systems.
• Provide support to telecommunications efforts associated with security systems.
• Proactively address issues and guide IT support personnel to prevent system failures or disruptions.
• Provide technical support to prevent system outages, minimize downtime, and maintain service reliability.
• Assist in the configuration, operation, and management of secure video teleconferencing equipment.
• Manage hardware and software through configuration management and initial diagnostics of information systems.
• Coordinate and document system repairs and perform diagnostics to determine causes of hardware and software failures.
• Remove and replace components and peripherals to restore system operation; install and configure software operating systems and applications.
• Conduct inventory of computer hardware and software, ensuring compliance with software licensing agreements.
• Assist with the maintenance of the organization’s COMSEC account per government requirements; conduct self‑inspections and inventory COMSEC material.
• Support the Government’s Configuration Control Board (CCB).
• Diagnose and resolve computer and network problems; report issues to customers and vendors.
• Utilize software and hardware tools to identify and diagnose problems affecting classified and unclassified network and standalone system performance.
• Update security databases and recommend functional changes to improve processing, operations, and customer support.
• Enforce approved Standard Operating Procedures, including Information Assurance SOPs, and provide assistance to the Government Security Officer.
• Implement and maintain IT departmental policies to support the Government’s needs.
• Ensure project milestones/goals are met within approved budgets.
• Implement a timely process for resolving user problems, including recognition, research, isolation, resolution, and follow‑up.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or equivalent.
• 5+ years of related experience.
• Information Assurance Technical LevelII Certification and Security+ Certification.
• Full‑range computer services experience for in‑house information security operations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Top‑Secret security clearance with Tier5 investigation (required).
