Southern Ute Shared Services is seeking a security analyst to monitor, detect, and respond to incidents across the organization under the guidance of senior team members.

The role focuses on identifying vulnerabilities, conducting proactive threat hunting, and supporting Governance, Risk, and Compliance and Third-Party Risk Management to maintain a robust security posture aligned with industry standards.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Cyber Security or related field with 2 years of relevant IT security experience; OR 1 year with a cyber security cert or equivalent hands-on cyber security work.
• Associate’s degree with 4 years of relevant IT security experience; OR 3 years with a cyber security cert or equivalent experience.
• High School diploma with 7 years of relevant IT security experience; OR 6 years with a cyber security cert or equivalent experience.

This position is responsible for collaborating with various SUSS teams to actively monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents for the entire Southern Ute Indian Tribal organization under the guidance of senior team members. Identify and analyze vulnerabilities, contributing to incident response activities and ensuring the organization's security posture aligns with industry standards and best practices. Conduct proactive threat hunting. Support Governance, Risk, and Compliance and Third-Party Risk Management activities.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Cyber Security, or a related field and two years of relevant experience in IT security, network, or systems administration; OR one year of relevant experience in IT security, network, or systems administration and a relevant cyber security certification or hands-on experience functioning in a relevant cyber security role;

OR

• An Associate’s degree Computer Science, MIS, Cyber Security, or a related field and four years of relevant experience in IT security, network, or systems administration; OR three years of relevant experience in IT security, network, or systems administration and a relevant cyber security certification or hands-on experience functioning in a relevant cyber security role;

OR

• A High School diploma and seven years of relevant experience in IT security, network, or systems administration;

OR

• six years of relevant experience in IT security, network, or systems administration and a relevant cyber security certification or hands-on experience functioning in a relevant cyber security role; is required.
