The IT Project Manager will oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of multiple concurrent IT projects within a GxP-regulated environment. This individual will manage both new and in-flight initiatives, ensuring project resources, timelines, budgets, and deliverables remain aligned with business objectives.
The Project Manager will lead all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including project planning, risk and issue management, stakeholder communication, project tracking and reporting, documentation, vendor coordination, and cross-functional stakeholder management.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT Operations and enterprise technology projects, particularly experience with Managed Service Provider (MSP) transitions, end-user support, IT security, infrastructure, SaaS implementations, and enterprise-wide change initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and manage comprehensive project plans and supporting project management documentation.
- Partner with business sponsors and stakeholders to establish project objectives, success metrics, and delivery criteria.
- Lead recurring project meetings, operational checkpoints, and cross-functional working sessions throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identify, assess, manage, and elevate project risks, issues, dependencies, and barriers to execution.
- Ensure projects follow established project management methodologies, standards, and best practices.
- Provide clear, concise communication regarding project timelines, milestones, deliverables, risks, and overall status.
- Maintain accurate project information, documentation, and reporting within project management and tracking systems.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external vendor Project Managers to ensure alignment and timely delivery.
- Prepare weekly project status reports for the Head of IT.
- Develop executive-level summaries and presentations highlighting project progress, key risks, decisions, and next steps.
- Facilitate cross-functional leadership discussions and drive timely decision-making.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining strong attention to detail and accountability.
Minimum Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in IT or biotech/pharmaceutical project management.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or another relevant technical discipline.
- Demonstrated experience managing IT Managed Service Provider (MSP) transitions and/or implementations.
- Experience leading enterprise-wide technology change initiatives, including training, communications, and change management.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies, frameworks, tools, and best practices.
- Experience managing projects across different methodologies and organizational environments.
- Experience leading SaaS and enterprise IT implementations.
- Ability to establish and apply effective project management processes in environments where formal standards may not yet be fully established.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and executive stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally.

Preferred Qualifications
- PMP certification.
- Experience managing GxP-regulated system implementations.
- Knowledge of Computer System Validation (CSV) principles and practices.
- Previous experience within the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry.
- Experience with software procurement, technology vendor selection, and vendor relationship management.
- Familiarity with IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, end-user support, and enterprise technology operations.
