We are seeking a full-time IT Operations Administrator to support the daily administration, security, and end users of a hybrid Microsoft 365 environment and key SaaS applications. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional who can work independently within a small IT team while partnering with leadership and external service providers. The position offers growth opportunities in Microsoft 365 administration, networking, and cybersecurity.
Key Responsibilities:
Microsoft 365 & Identity Management
- Support Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive.
- Manage user onboarding/offboarding, group memberships, and license assignments.
- Assist with Entra ID, Conditional Access, MFA, and identity security controls.
- Monitor security, vulnerability, and patching reports and help remediate issues.
SaaS Application Administration
- Administer and support business-critical SaaS platforms.
- Coordinate updates, patching, user support, and training.
- Develop and maintain system documentation.
- Monitor a small Azure environment consisting of Windows cloud servers.
- Verify weekly patching and backup completion.
- Escalate complex infrastructure issues to the IT Manager or managed service provider.
Security & Compliance
- Respond to security alerts across identity, endpoint, email, and SaaS platforms.
- Assist with audits, compliance initiatives, and access control processes.
- Support incident response activities and coordination with external partners.
- Provision, replace, and retire user devices.
- Enforce device compliance standards, security baselines, and application deployments.
Required Qualifications
Technical Experience
- 1-2 years of help desk or end-user support experience.
- 1+ year administering Microsoft 365, including Entra ID, Conditional Access, and MFA.
- 1+ year of cloud server administration experience, including monitoring and backups.
- Basic knowledge of mobile devices, printers, and office technology.
Preferred Qualifications
- Microsoft certifications such as MS-102, SC-300, MD-102, or AZ-900.
- Network+ certification or equivalent networking experience.
- Familiarity with compliance technologies, including retention policies, DLP, and eDiscovery.
- Experience supporting SaaS-focused or hybrid environments.
- PowerShell scripting experience for automation and administration.
- Working knowledge of Active Directory and hybrid infrastructure environments.
