Job summary

Edison Smart in Austin is seeking an IT Operations Specialist to own the day-to-day technology experience across the business, from onboarding and access management to endpoint support and applications.

You’ll join a small, growing IT function with meaningful ownership, a chance to improve processes, and opportunities to automate tasks as the company scales. This hands-on role emphasizes collaboration with users across the business and requires strong troubleshooting across Windows and macOS.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience across IT operations, systems support or a similar environment.
• Strong Microsoft 365, Entra ID and Intune experience.
• Experience managing endpoints, applications, identity and user access.
• Strong hands-on troubleshooting across Windows and ideally macOS environments.
• Experience supporting both onsite and remote employees.
• Microsoft GCC High experience is highly desirable.
• Exposure to scripting, automation or improving IT processes is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and comfortable working directly with users across the business.
• Experience within defense, aerospace, advanced hardware or another regulated environment is beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day IT operations across the business, from onboarding to access management and user support.
• Provide endpoint and application support, and help maintain security and compliance.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and automate recurring tasks as the company scales.

Edison Smart is working with a rapdily scaling, advanced technology company in Austin looking to add an IT Operations Specialist to its team.

This is a hands on role owning the day-to-day technology experience across the business, from onboarding and access management through to endpoint support, applications and general IT operations.

You’ll be joining a small, growing IT function where you’ll have considerably more ownership than you would in a traditional help desk environment, with the opportunity to improve processes and automate how things are done as the company scales.

What we’re looking for:

• 4+ years of experience across IT operations, systems support or a similar environment
