Job description

Employment Type: Full-Time, Long-Term Role

Industry: Fintech / Wealth Management Technology

About the Role

We are looking for an IT Support Specialist based in Dallas, TX to work on a project for one of our clients: a hyper-growth fintech company headquartered in Los Angeles, California. Their mission is to make financial advice better and more accessible for everyone, through a platform that removes friction from investing for financial advisors and their clients.

You will work the support queue alongside the internal IT team while contributing hands-on to infrastructure and security work — identity, endpoint compliance, and zero trust practices. Changes ship through pilots and phased rollouts, so the role suits someone as comfortable resolving a ticket as testing a policy change before it reaches everyone.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute hands-on to infrastructure and security deployments: device enrollment campaigns, configuration and policy changes, validation testing, and phased rollouts
  • Participate in pilot and early-adopter programs, testing changes and documenting issues before they reach the wider organization
  • Work the IT queue in Jira Service Management and Slack: triage, resolve, **escalate**, and see requests through to closure
  • Handle identity and access work in Okta: group assignments, app access, MFA enrollment and resets, SSO troubleshooting
  • Administer Google Workspace day to day: accounts, groups, shared drives, delegation, and common Gmail and Drive issues
  • Provide endpoint support across macOS and Windows, including enrollment, troubleshooting, and device compliance
  • Build documentation and self-service resources that make common requests easier to resolve

Basic Qualifications

  • Advanced communication skills, written and verbal
  • Highly organized and self-directed, with consistent follow-through
  • Clear, patient communicator with users at every level of technical comfort

Technical Requirements

  • 3+ years in IT support, helpdesk, or IT operations in a fast-moving environment
  • Hands‑on administration of an identity platform (Okta and/or Google Workspace preferred, any IdP considered): user and group management, MFA, app assignments, sign‑on troubleshooting
  • Hands‑on endpoint support across macOS and Windows, including enrollment and device compliance
  • Working knowledge of zero trust concepts: identity as the perimeter, device trust, least privilege, and how device identity factors into access decisions

Nice to Have

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related field
  • Customer‑facing service experience (retail tech support, Apple Genius Bar, or similar)
  • Experience helping deploy or support a platform migration, security rollout, or other major infrastructure change
  • Scripting or automation experience (Bash, Python, PowerShell) to reduce repetitive work
  • Exposure to SOC 2, FINRA/SEC, or other regulated‑environment controls

Compensation: $80,000 – $110,000 / year. Individual base pay within the posted range is determined by multiple factors, including job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
