We are conducting a confidential search for a hands-on IT Manager to oversee all IT operations for two established, global luxury brands with a U.S. retail footprint and corporate office presence.
This role will support both corporate and retail environments, acting as the primary IT partner for day-to-day operations while also managing vendors, systems, and longer-term technology needs. The ideal candidate is comfortable operating in a lean organization, serving as both a strategic advisor and a front-line Help Desk resource.
Key Responsibilities
IT Operations & Help Desk Support
- Oversee end-to-end IT operations across U.S. corporate offices and retail locations
- Serve as the primary Help Desk, providing hands-on support for office and store teams
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, connectivity, and access-related issues
- Manage IT onboarding and offboarding processes (devices, system access, permissions)
Retail Technology & POS Support
- Support and maintain retail technology systems, including:
- Point of Sale (POS)
- Payment terminals
- Store networks and connectivity
- Store hardware (registers, printers, tablets, scanners)
- Partner with Retail Operations to ensure business continuity and minimal downtime
- Support IT needs related to store openings, closures, and system upgrades
- Manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers
- Oversee vendor contracts, billing, renewals, and negotiations
- Ensure cost-effective solutions aligned with business and operational needs
- Act as a liaison with global or regional IT partners, as applicable
Security, Compliance & Infrastructure
- Maintain IT security best practices and access controls
- Support data protection and system reliability standards
- Maintain clear documentation of systems, processes, and support workflows
- Assist with audits or compliance-related requests involving IT systems
Cross-Functional Partnership
- Partner closely with Retail and Corporate Leadership on technology needs
- Advise leadership on system improvements and IT roadmap considerations
- Balance immediate operational support with longer-term technology planning
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in IT operations or IT management
- Experience supporting retail environments strongly preferred
- Hands-on experience with POS and retail technology systems
- Proven ability to operate as a front-line Help Desk in a small to mid-sized organization
- Strong vendor management and negotiation experience
- Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Strong communication skills and a service-oriented mindset
