Job description

The IT Manager is responsible for the design, deployment, and day-to-day management of all IT and AV systems in a highly integrated office environment. The primary focus is maintaining, supporting, and continually upgrading the office’s systems and building technology, including the network, conferencing, AV control, signage, and security. Supporting and training the team is central to the role: the IT Manager is the first point of contact for technical help and keeps users confident and productive. This hands-on position combines IT support, user training, project management, and AV/control programming, and on occasion supports the live-event and permanent-installation teams in a networking and systems capacity. The ideal candidate brings strong enterprise networking and Apple/Microsoft administration experience, AV control programming ability, live-entertainment industry knowledge, and a service-oriented approach to supporting users.

TOP THREE ROLES: Maintain & Upgrade Office Systems and Building Technology | Support an Integrated Team | Build & Manage Network, AV Control & Conferencing

JOB DUTIES:

  • Serve as systems administrator and primary point of contact for all IT and AV infrastructure, providing responsive, service-oriented day-to-day support to the team.
  • Maintain, support, and continually upgrade the office’s systems and building technology as the primary, ongoing priority.
  • Own the stability, performance, and security of computers, networks, software, and systems.
  • Design, build, and manage the company network, including Cisco Meraki infrastructure, VLAN segmentation, Wi-Fi, firewalls, and VPN.
  • Build, program, maintain, and upgrade QSC Q-SYS and Dante audio/AV systems used in-house for conferencing, signage, and AV control.
  • Configure, manage, and support Microsoft Teams Rooms and Logitech Rally Bar conferencing systems and digital signage.
  • Administer Microsoft 365 and company-wide software; provision, onboard, and offboard users; and manage identity, permissions, and access (SSO/MFA).
  • Manage company-wide subscriptions and licenses, including renewals, seat counts, and cost optimization.
  • Procure, deploy, and maintain company hardware and endpoints (macOS, PC, Surface, iPad, Apple TV, NAS) through Mosyle MDM, managing the full device lifecycle and asset inventory.
  • Maintain and upgrade internal security systems, including CCTV cameras and access control.
  • Coordinate cybersecurity policies, endpoint protection, backups, and disaster recovery.
  • Train and onboard team members on company systems, software, and AV/conferencing tools, and develop user-facing documentation to support self-service.
  • On occasion, support the live-event and permanent-installation teams in a networking and systems capacity, including design, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and communicating status to the supervisor and IPS team.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, network diagrams, and standard operating procedures; troubleshoot and repair systems as needed; and stay current with new technology.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 4 years of IT management experience required.
  • Cisco Meraki design, deployment, and administration experience required.
  • Experience configuring and supporting Microsoft Teams Rooms and Logitech Rally Bar conferencing systems required.
  • Strong macOS administration in a heavily Mac environment with solid Windows/PC support, and experience with Mosyle MDM (or comparable Apple MDM), required.
  • Experience administering company-wide software, subscriptions, user provisioning, and hardware/device management required.
  • Ability to build, program, and maintain QSC Q-SYS systems preferred.
  • SMPTE ST 2110 / AV-over-IP networking experience (and/or Dante, AES67, NDI) and live-entertainment experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365/Office, Cisco/Meraki networking, and enterprise backup and recovery.
  • Strong organizational, project, and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with strong attention to detail and the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Service-oriented approach with a demonstrated ability to support and train non-technical users patiently and clearly.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and work independently.
  • Reasonably accessible to support the team and systems outside of standard hours when needed.
  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Meraki CMNA, Cisco CCNA, Q-SYS, Apple ACSP, CompTIA Network+/Security+) a plus.
