Help Desk Technician

MAU is seeking a Help Desk Technician to join our IT team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about technology and customer support and want to gain hands‑on experience in a professional IT environment.

Whether you have 1-2 years of help desk experience or recently completed an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in an IT‑related field with internship or hands‑on coursework experience, this role provides the foundation to develop your technical skills and grow your career.

In this position, you'll support employees with account access, software applications, Microsoft technologies, and technical troubleshooting while gaining exposure to enterprise IT systems and support processes.

What You'll Do
  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee technology and system support requests.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to software, applications, employee portals, and account access.
  • Assist employees with password resets, account recovery, and system navigation.
  • Document support requests, resolutions, and troubleshooting steps within the ticketing system.
  • Escalate complex technical issues to appropriate IT support teams when necessary.
  • Follow up with users to ensure issues are resolved and service expectations are met.
  • Support Microsoft‑based environments, including Microsoft 365 and Active Directory.
  • Assist with administrative tasks related to employee systems, phone services, and timekeeping platforms.

Qualifications
Required
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • One of the following:
  • 1-2 years of Help Desk, IT Support, Service Desk, Technical Support, or related experience; OR
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field with relevant internship, lab, project, or hands‑on coursework experience.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Basic understanding of Windows operating systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
