Job description

We are seeking a highly polished, technically capable Executive Technologist to provide high-touch technology support and guidance to senior executives and other high-profile stakeholders. This is a unique opportunity for someone who combines strong IT troubleshooting skills with exceptional communication, judgment, discretion, and executive presence. You will serve as a trusted technology partner - someone who can quickly understand a technology need, determine the best solution, resolve issues personally when appropriate, and coordinate with specialized IT teams when additional expertise is required.

The ideal candidate is a broad IT generalist who enjoys variety, works well independently, and is comfortable operating in an environment where priorities can change quickly.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as a trusted technology resource and primary point of contact for senior executives and high-profile stakeholders.
  • Provide white-glove, highly responsive support for hardware, software, connectivity, collaboration tools, mobile devices, and other technology needs.
  • Diagnose and resolve technology issues across Windows, macOS, Microsoft 365, mobile devices, conferencing platforms, AV equipment, displays, and related technologies.
  • Coordinate with cybersecurity, networking, infrastructure, applications, and other IT teams when issues require specialized expertise.
  • Anticipate technology needs and proactively identify opportunities to improve the executive technology experience.
  • Assist with technology planning and preparation for domestic and international travel, meetings, events, and other high-profile engagements.
  • Help evaluate technology risks and coordinate appropriate security measures in partnership with cybersecurity professionals.
  • Support technology setup and troubleshooting in a variety of environments, including offices, meeting spaces, residences, and off-site locations.
  • Research technology solutions and make recommendations based on business and executive needs.
  • Manage and coordinate technology-related projects from planning through implementation.
  • Build strong relationships across IT and the broader organization to ensure issues are resolved efficiently.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion when working with sensitive information and executive-level matters.
  • Stay current on emerging technologies and identify opportunities to improve productivity, security, and the overall user experience.
  • Take ownership of problems and follow them through to resolution, even when that requires coordinating across multiple teams.

What We're Looking For

  • 7+ years of professional IT experience, preferably in an environment supporting senior executives, VIPs, or highly visible stakeholders.
  • Strong hands-on experience troubleshooting and supporting Windows, macOS, Microsoft 365, mobile devices, and collaboration technologies.
  • Broad understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, endpoint technologies, cybersecurity, and enterprise applications.
  • Experience supporting AV, video conferencing, displays, projectors, and other presentation technologies.
  • Strong ability to diagnose problems, determine root causes, and either resolve them independently or identify the right resources to involve.
  • Experience working across multiple IT disciplines and coordinating with specialized technical teams.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with senior executives and other high-profile individuals with professionalism, tact, and discretion.
  • Strong judgment and the ability to handle confidential or sensitive situations appropriately.
  • Highly self-directed, resourceful, and comfortable operating with minimal supervision.
  • A genuine "figure it out and get it done" mindset.
  • Ability to remain calm and effective when priorities shift or unexpected requests arise.
  • Willingness to work primarily on-site and provide flexibility when executive schedules or business needs require it.

The Ideal Candidate

You may come from a background in executive IT support, VIP technology support, senior IT support, IT business partnering, technology consulting, or another senior IT environment where you've combined technical expertise with executive-facing service.

You don't need to be the deepest technical expert in any one discipline. We're looking for a polished IT generalist who understands enough across the technology landscape to quickly assess a situation, solve what they can, bring in the right experts when necessary, and make sure the problem gets resolved.

Most importantly, you're someone senior leaders can trust—technically, professionally, and personally.
