Our client, an established community bank on the Connecticut shoreline, is seeking an experienced IT Administrator to support and maintain its technology infrastructure. This fully onsite role is ideal for a technically skilled professional who enjoys working across systems administration, security, infrastructure support, and technology operations in a regulated environment.
What You'll Do
- Support and maintain Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft 365, virtualization platforms, and related infrastructure technologies.
- Assist with management of service accounts, security groups, access controls, onboarding, offboarding, and access reviews.
- Install, configure, upgrade, monitor, and troubleshoot systems, applications, hardware, and supporting infrastructure.
- Perform server and endpoint patching, upgrades, system hardening, vulnerability remediation, and administration of security controls.
- Review security alerts, investigate activity, document findings, and raise suspected incidents and risks.
- Manage backup and recovery systems, test restorations, and support disaster recovery efforts.
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure, application, identity, and connectivity issues.
- Coordinate technical support, maintenance activities, and implementations with approved vendors and service providers.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, procedures, diagrams, system configurations, scripts, and change records.
- Utilize approved automation tools and Microsoft Copilot for research, troubleshooting, scripting, documentation, and process improvement.
- Evaluate, order, and provision approved technology while maintaining inventory, licensing, warranty, and lifecycle records.
- Collaborate with team members through knowledge sharing and cross training to support ongoing operations.
What You'll Bring
- Demonstrated knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft 365, virtualization, identity and access management, patch management, backup and recovery, network services, vulnerability remediation, and PowerShell or comparable scripting.
- Ability to independently troubleshoot technical issues and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong documentation and organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to appropriately escalat[e] risks and unresolved issues.
- Experience in banking or another regulated environment preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field preferred. Equivalent education, certifications, and experience may be considered.
- Minimum four years of systems administration or infrastructure experience.
This is an on-site role in Essex, CT. The salary range for the role is $80,000 - $95,000.
