Brightpoint Community College in Chesterfield is seeking an Information Systems Technology Adjunct (FLSA Exempt) to teach daytime, evening, and online IT courses. This is a part-time, per-credit-hour position with on-campus duties at Chesterfield and Midlothian campuses during daytime hours.
Qualifications include a master’s in information systems technology or related field (or related master’s with 18 graduate hours in IS/CS), excellent communication skills, and successful background checks.

Adjunct faculty teaching is limited to a maximum of 8 credit hours in the summer semester, 12 credit hours in the fall semester, and 12 credit hours in the spring semester. These limits are for total number of credit hours taught in the Virginia’s Community Colleges (VCCS). Additional restrictions may apply depending on other positions occupied within VCCS.
Teach daytime, evening, and/or online sections of information technology courses. Must be able to teach on campus classes on the Chester and/or Midlothian campus during daytime hours.
May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
