Job summary

Hardy Diagnostics is seeking an Information Systems Supervisor at our headquarters in Santa Maria, CA. This full-time role leads IS personnel and drives planning, implementation, and adoption of new systems and technologies.

You will oversee project prioritization, timelines, and reporting, and ensure thorough documentation. A Bachelor's in CS or related field with 3+ years of relevant experience is required. Hardy Diagnostics is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline is required.
  • Three years of experience in complex systems design, programming and systems software and support are required.
  • Knowledge of programming languages and operating systems; Unix system administration; Oracle and MS SQL database administration; and effective project management techniques.

  • Identifies existing skills, roles, and responsibilities of each employee.
  • Identifies all projects, prioritizes them, sets timelines, and holds regular meetings.
  • Leads planning and/or implementation of select projects; may participate in design/testing phases.
  • Presents oral and written reports defining plans, problems, and resolutions to management.
  • Creates and maintains comprehensive project documentation.

Job description

We are looking for another dedicated person to join us. We have an immediate opening for a full time Information Systems Supervisor at our headquarters in Santa Maria, CA. The Information Systems Supervisor is responsible for managing the Information Systems personnel, and for leading or assisting in the planning, implementation, and introduction of projects for new systems and technologies. Other duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Identifies existing skills, roles, and responsibilities of each employee.
  • Identifies all projects, prioritizes them, sets timelines, and holds regular meetings.
  • Leads planning and/or implementation of select projects. May participate in the design and/or testing phases.
  • Presents oral and written reports defining plans, problems, and resolutions to appropriate levels of management.
  • Creates and maintains comprehensive project documentation.

Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related discipline and three years of experience in complex systems design, programming and systems software and support is required. Requires knowledge of programming languages and operating systems; current equipment and technologies in use; Unix system administration, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, and system performance monitoring tools; Oracle and MS SQL database administration; effective project management techniques; principles and practices of effective management and supervision.
