Responsibilities

The ISSO ensures the security posture of information systems, working closely with the ISSM and ISO. Responsibilities include managing security operations, maintaining documentation, conducting security reviews, and supporting Special Access Programs (SAPs) for DoD agencies.

• Assist the ISSM in security duties.
• Prepare and review authorization packages.
• Manage hardware/media sanitization procedures.
• Monitor security compliance and conduct system reviews.
• Coordinate system changes with stakeholders.
• Maintain security documentation and audit records.
• Conduct security training and assessments.
• Identify vulnerabilities and implement countermeasures.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of related experience, including roles like System or Network Administrator, or ISSO.
• SAP experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Must meet DoD 8570.01-M certification requirements for IAT Level II or IAM II.
• Current Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility and willingness to undergo a polygraph.

Additional Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
