An established industry player is seeking an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) II to enhance their operational security posture. This role involves working closely with security management to oversee daily operations, including incident handling and compliance reviews. The ISSO is responsible for maintaining the operational security posture of an information system, working closely with the ISSM and ISO. The role requires detailed knowledge to manage security aspects and oversee day-to-day security operations, including physical/environmental protection, personnel security, incident handling, and security training. Coordination with the ISSM and ISO is essential for monitoring systems, updating authorization documentation, and implementing configuration management across boundaries. The position primarily supports Special Access Programs (SAPs) for DoD agencies, including HQ Air Force, OSD, and Military Compartments, providing daily support for Collateral, SCI, and SAP activities.
