**Job Description:**
The ISSO is responsible for maintaining the operational security posture of an information system, working closely with the ISSM and ISO. The role requires detailed knowledge to manage security aspects and oversee day-to-day security operations, including physical and environmental protection, personnel security, incident handling, and security training. The ISSO will coordinate with the ISSM and ISO to monitor systems, develop/update authorization documentation, and manage configuration changes, assessing security impacts and recommending actions. The position supports Special Access Programs (SAPs) for DoD agencies, including HQ Air Force, OSD, and military compartments, providing daily support for Collateral, SCI, and SAP activities.
Key responsibilities include:

**Education:**
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (4 years)
**Certifications:**
IAT Level II or IAM Level II within 6 months of hire (e.g., Security+ CE, CCNA Security)
**Security Clearance:**
TS/SCI required, with ability to attain TS/SCI with CI Polygraph
**Other Requirements:**
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly

Salary range: $86,615 - $117,185, depending on experience, location, and contractual factors.
