Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) SME

Job Category: Security

CCI is seeking a Subject-Matter Expert Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) responsible for overseeing the information security posture of complex strategic mission systems supporting USSTRATCOM. The ISSM will ensure compliance with federal regulations, DoD directives, and organizational policies while managing security risks. The work location is Omaha, Nebraska, contingent upon contract award.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive Cyber Tasking Orders (CTOs) and directives from HHQ/USSTRATCOM
  • Analyze policies and configurations for compliance
  • Manage threat or target analysis by reviewing cyber defense trends
  • Verify vulnerabilities using ACAS and assess risk levels
  • Report status of CTOs, directives, and vulnerabilities to HHQ
  • Identify non-compliance patterns and evaluate cyber program effectiveness
  • Recommend security controls to mitigate risks and provide UAF updates
  • Maintain ACAS and Nessus applications, including updates and patches
  • Support DoD audits such as CSSP, CORA, and CCORI
  • Analyze quarterly STIG releases, IAVMs, and CTOs; assign tasks and track completion
  • Manage cybersecurity for programs, including vulnerability management and compliance
  • Work rotating shifts as needed (days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays)
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to meet mission needs, potentially guiding or supervising others

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field
  • Minimum of 10 years in information security management, focusing on mission-critical systems
  • Required 8140 Certification: 722 - Intermediate; CGRC/CAP, CASP+, CCSP, Cloud+, SSCP, Security+, GSEC; or applicable degree or training
  • Additional certifications such as CISSP or CISM are preferred
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and risk management
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in teams
  • Minimum Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility

Pay Range: $90,700 - $199,600. Compensation varies based on factors like location, experience, skills, and certifications. We offer comprehensive benefits including healthcare, wellness, retirement, and education support. Learn more here.
