Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) VMOD Lead

CACI is seeking an experienced and strategic Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) VMOD Lead to lead cybersecurity efforts supporting the U.S. Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM) Cybersecurity Service Provider (CSSP). This leadership role aligns with the DoD 8140 Cyber Workforce Framework for Information Systems Security Manager - ISSM (ID: 722) at the Advanced level. The candidate will oversee the cybersecurity posture of designated programs, manage the RMF process, ensure compliance via eMASS, and serve as a key member of the VMOD team, supporting threat intelligence and vulnerability management for USSTRATCOM. The position may require rotating shifts to support mission or incident response needs.

This role offers the chance to lead vital cybersecurity programs, influence threat defense, and manage risk for national security within a supportive organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Cybersecurity Program Management: Lead and manage cybersecurity for assigned systems/enclaves, develop policies and SOPs, advise management on risk and resources, and manage resources.
  • RMF & Compliance: Oversee RMF lifecycle, manage assessments and ATOs, ensure compliance with DoD/NIST standards, and track POA&Ms.
  • Vulnerability Management & Threat Intelligence: Oversee vulnerability management, monitor threat data, interpret non-compliance, and supervise corrective measures.
  • Incident Response Oversight: Supervise incident response activities and reporting.
  • Security Architecture & Integration: Understand network security and system engineering, identify security implications of new technologies, and ensure security requirements are integrated throughout the system lifecycle.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication: Promote security awareness, collaborate with stakeholders, and recommend improvements.
  • Training & Awareness: Oversee security training and awareness programs.
  • Reporting: Maintain cybersecurity data and ensure timely reporting of incidents and trends.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned, potentially providing guidance or supervision to others.

Qualifications:

  • Certifications: One of the following: (ISC)² CGRC, CAP; CompTIA Security+ CE; (ISC)² CCSP; CompTIA Cloud+ CE; (ISC)² SSCP; GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC). Consideration for CISSP if applicable.
  • Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in a related field; 10+ years of cybersecurity experience; proven leadership in DoD or federal environments; expert knowledge of RMF, NIST standards, eMASS, and cybersecurity principles; strong communication and leadership skills; ability to work rotating shifts; active or eligible TS/SCI clearance.
