Senior Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM)

The Opportunity:

CCI is seeking a Senior Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) in the Data Science Team to lead security initiatives supporting operations at U.S. Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM). This role involves overseeing security measures to protect sensitive data and information systems, focusing on emerging technologies including quantum computing.

The work location is Omaha, Nebraska, contingent upon award of the USSTRATCOM SCITLS contract.

Responsibilities:
  • Receive Cyber Tasking Orders (CTOs) and directives from HHQ/USSTRATCOM
  • Evaluate compliance with policies and configurations
  • Manage threat or target analysis by reviewing cyber defense trends
  • Verify vulnerabilities using ACAS results and assess risks
  • Report status of CTOs, directives, and vulnerabilities to HHQ
  • Identify patterns of non-compliance to assess cyber program effectiveness
  • Recommend security controls to mitigate risks and update UAF as needed
  • Maintain ACAS and Nessus applications, including updates and patches
  • Support DoD audits such as CSSP, CORA, and CCORI
  • Analyze quarterly security releases and assign tasks accordingly
  • Ensure cybersecurity of programs, organizations, systems, or enclaves
  • Work rotating shifts as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned to meet mission needs and support USSTRATCOM objectives
Qualifications:

Required:

  • Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or related field
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in information security, focusing on data and risk management
  • 8140 Certification within 6 months: options include CGRC/CAP, CASP+, CCSP, Cloud+, SSCP, Security+, GSEC, or equivalent training or degree

Additional:

  • Any CND certification
  • Strong understanding of security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001) and risk management
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences

Pay Range:

Range: $78,000 - $163,800, influenced by location, experience, skills, and certifications. We offer comprehensive benefits including healthcare, wellness, retirement, education, and time off. Learn more here.
