Job Description:

The Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) shall perform or review technical security assessments of computing environments to identify vulnerabilities, non-compliance with cybersecurity standards and regulations, and recommend mitigation strategies. Responsibilities include validating system security requirements, designing and implementing cybersecurity systems, supporting security architecture development, and ensuring compliance with security policies and frameworks such as NSA/CSS NISCAP and DoD RMF.

Key duties involve participating as the primary security engineering representative in engineering teams, supporting security planning, assessment, risk analysis, and risk management activities, and reviewing certification and accreditation documentation.

Position Responsibilities:

• Participate in the design, development, and evaluation of secure networking, computing, and enclave environments.
• Interact with clients and project team members to enforce security policies.
• Support security planning, assessment, and risk management activities.
• Identify security requirements for handling government data.
• Design system or network solutions for environments with multiple enclaves and differing data classifications.
• Recommend system-level solutions to meet security requirements.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience as an ISSE on similar programs.
• Recent experience within the last five years with cybersecurity principles and technologies.
• DoD 8570 compliance with IASAE Level 3 required.
• Required certifications: CISSP and ISSEP.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, or related field, or equivalent experience (4 additional years of ISSE experience).
• TS/SCI clearance with CI Poly.
