Job Description: Cyber Security Engineer

We are seeking a resource with strong technical cloud experience and cloud security operations expertise of 4-5+ years preferred. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of IT experience, including at least three years in a technology administration role, and a continuous learning mindset to stay updated with the rapidly evolving cyber threat landscape.

Responsibilities include:

• Managing Windows and Linux operating systems and common applications
• Designing and maintaining network architecture and tools
• Utilizing NetFlow and other analytic methods for detecting malicious network activity
• Hardware and software troubleshooting
• Implementing automation via infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, etc.
• Working with relational and NoSQL databases/datastores
• Understanding network protocols, operating systems, and cloud platforms
• Ensuring security compliance with frameworks and regulations
• Managing security tools and technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption methods

Preferred qualifications:

• CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)
• CISM (Certified Information Security Manager)
• CompTIA Security+
• Relevant certificate programs
• Prior experience with DOD/FedRAMP

Additional skills:

• Programming/scripting experience (Python, PowerShell, Bash, Golang, C, JS, SQL)
• CI/CD pipeline experience (GitLab, GitHub Actions)
• Experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, DataDog, Grafana, etc.)
