Greater Philadelphia Health Action, Inc. (GPHA) is a Federally Qualified Health Center known to be the largest healthcare provider in the greater Philadelphia area. With joint-commission accredited Health Centers providing compassionate and affordable healthcare services throughout Philadelphia regardless of an individual’s ability to pay. We are seeking an Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE). GPHA’s Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) is responsible for ensuring confidentiality, integrity, and availability of GPHA’s information assets by helping put in place administrative, technical and physical safeguards or controls. S/he is responsible for security and risk assessment, information assets security, security engineering, communication, and network security, and Access Management (IAM), and Security Operations including disaster recovery and business continuity planning. It is the duty of the ISSE to identify, design, and execute security projects that improve the preventive, detective, corrective, deterrent, recovery, and compensating security capabilities of GPHA.

The ISSE implements security measures that effectively safeguard GPHA’s IT environment and sensitive data in the event of an attack. Reporting directly to the CIO, the role is highly collaborative, involving frequent interaction with various members of the IT and GPHA management team. The ISSE will guide the ISS Division in examining and developing network security solutions and will work in coordination with the application and infrastructure teams to determine the configuration of applications and other networking devices to protect against attackers.

Minimum Requirements:

1. An undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems Science or equivalent is required.
2. Must have a minimum of three (3) plus years’ experience in InfoSec engineering and/or analysis.
3. Must possess excellent organizational skills with the ability to make sound decisions independently.
