Position Overview and Primary Duties

The Information Systems Security Engineer III (ISSE III) will support an active Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD) contract in Philadelphia, PA. Responsibilities include researching, compiling, and documenting technical reviews, drawings, schematics, reports, and training materials. The role involves developing system security/IA plans under guidance, shepherding Security Plans through the RMF process, coordinating with management and customers to ensure compliance, and supporting system security requirements development. The ISSE III also assists in control assessments, participates in the DoDEA ISCM program, and provides recommendations for system reaccreditation.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Proficiency in DISA STIG procedures including ACAS, HBSS, SCAP, and network scanning.
• Current DoD IAM Certification.
• Ability to perform duties independently.
• Knowledge of FISMA compliance and requirements.
• Active Department of Defense SECRET clearance.
• U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.
• Compliance with DoD 8570.01-M IATII requirements.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering or Mathematics with a focus on computer science.
• Minimum two years of professional systems engineering experience.
