Job summary

Peraton in Annapolis Junction, MD is seeking an Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to join our team delivering information security solutions and vulnerability assessments for a critical national security program.

The role requires a BS in CS/IA/ISSE or related field (or 11 years ISSE experience), 7+ years as an ISSE, and active TS/SCI with polygraph. CASP+/Security+ or CISSP is required. Shiftwork including weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 11 years ISSE experience required.
• Minimum 7 years’ experience as an ISSE.
• Active CASP+, SecurityX, or CISSP certification required.
• Ability to accommodate shiftwork, including weekend support.
• Experience with system administration, security planning, risk analysis and risk management.
• Experience designing systems across multiple enclaves with differing data classifications.
• Experience recommending system-level solutions to meet security and sys admin needs.
• Ability to support trusted relationships among external systems and architectures.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph required.

Job description

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security System Engineering, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. 4 years of additional ISSE experience may be substituted for a BS degree, totaling 11 years of ISSE experience.
• Minimum of 7 years’ experience as an ISSE is required.
• Active CASP+, SecurityX, or CISSP certification is required.
• Ability to accommodate shiftwork as needed, including weekend support, is required.
• Experience providing system administration support, security planning, assessment, risk analysis, and risk management.
• Knowledge and ability to perform system or network designs that encompass multiple enclaves, to include those with differing data protection/classification requirements.
• Experience with recommending system-level solutions to resolve security and sys admin requirements.
• Ability to support the Government in the enforcement of the design and implementation of trusted relationships among external systems and architectures.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.

Peraton is seeking an Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to join our team in the Annapolis Junction, MD area. Our dynamic team delivers information security solutions that facilitate secure data flows and the detection/prevention of unauthorized behaviors, performs system security vulnerability assessments and solution development, and provides enterprise-level network, server, desktop, and application security services. Candidate will provide technical and programmatic information assurance and system administration services to internal and external customers in support of network and information security systems. In addition to ISSE experience, the ideal candidate will also have a background in systems administration.
