Job summary

Peraton in Maryland seeks an Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to join our Annapolis Junction area team. The role focuses on delivering information security solutions, vulnerability assessments, and enterprise-level security services.

Candidates should have a CISSP, TS/SCI with polygraph, and extensive ISSE experience, with the ability to support shift work and coordinate across multiple enclaves.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's degree or higher in CS/IA/InfoSec or related discipline with substantial ISSE experience.
• Active CISSP certification required and TS/SCI with polygraph preferred.
• Experience providing system administration support, security planning, assessment, risk analysis, and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Provide information systems security engineering and system administration services to internal and external customers.
• Perform vulnerability assessments, solution development, and enterprise-level security services.
• Support network/server security, data flows, and trusted relationships across multiple enclaves.

Job description

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security System Engineering, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. 4 years of additional ISSE experience may be substituted for a BS degree, totaling 18 years of ISSE experience.
• Minimum of 14 years' experience as an ISSE is required.
• Active CISSP certification is required.
• Ability to accommodate shiftwork as needed, including weekend support, is required.
• Experience providing system administration support, security planning, assessment, risk analysis, and risk management.
• Knowledge and ability to perform system or network designs that encompass multiple enclaves, to include those with differing data protection/classification requirements.
• Experience with recommending system-level solutions to resolve security and sys admin requirements.
• Ability to support the Government in the enforcement of the design and implementation of trusted relationships among external systems and architectures.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.

Our dynamic team delivers information security solutions that facilitate secure data flows and the detection/prevention of unauthorized behaviors, performs system security vulnerability assessments and solution development, and provides enterprise-level network, server, desktop, and application security services. Candidate will provide technical and programmatic information assurance and system administration services to internal and external customers in support of network and information security systems. In addition to ISSE experience, the ideal candidate will also have a background in systems administration.
