A forward-thinking company is seeking a motivated Information Systems Security Engineer to join its Air Force / Space team. This role involves supporting the United States Air Force's Technical Support Services contract, focusing on system designs and security assessments across various Cloud environments. ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to join our Air Force / Space team at Eglin AFB .
The ISSE's primary function is to support the United States Air Force’s 53rd Wing Technical Support Services (53rd WTSS) contract.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Perform system or network designs that encompass multiple Cloud hosting environments, to include those with differing data protection/classification requirements
Support ATO accreditation with analyzing security scans, organizational policies, and perform continuous monitoring
Provide security planning, assessment, risk analysis, and risk management
Recommend cybersecurity-enabled products to implement security measures that provide confidentiality, integrity, availability, authentication and non-repudiation.
Perform/support or review security assessments to identify IA vulnerabilities or non-compliances and recommend mitigations.
Validate and verify security requirements, establish security designs, and develop security architectures.
Work on project teams responsible for engineering and packaging releases to integrate within the customer's production IT environment
Review, provide feedback, and help update/maintain SSP documentation.
Support security authorization activities in compliance with Government standards and the RMF.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in related discipline from an accredited college or university. 2 additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree.
2+ years direct/related experience
Active / valid DoD 8570.01-M IAT-II certification
Experience using various IA tools in audit collection, audit review, audit management, and end point protection (ACAS, HBSS, McAfee ePO, ENS, DLP)
Experience with RMF, ICD 503, NIST SP800-53 or DCID 6/3, or knowledge of current authorization practices, particularly within the DoD is desired.
Experience with AWS Government Cloud and AWS Service offerings
Experience with security efforts related to modern Windows, Linux, UNIX, Cisco, SQL or Oracle databases, and virtualized systems.
The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
Clearance Requirements:
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD TS/SCI-eligible clearance
Eligibility for access to Special Access Program Information
Willingness to submit to a polygraph.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%
Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
Frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
