Job summary

SuperSonic POS Information Systems Manager role is based in Tampa, FL in office settings. You will plan and direct software development projects for web-based and transaction-processing systems, supervise developers, and enforce standards and architecture guidelines.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Development, Data Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Systems.
• 12 months of experience as a Software Engineer or Software Developer.
• Proficient in managing software development projects using TypeScript-based systems.
• Experience with React-based frontend and Node.js/Express backend.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and Redis.
• Experience building RESTful APIs and GraphQL.
• Experience deploying on AWS.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and coordinate software development projects for web-based and transaction-processing systems.
• Supervise software developers by assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and reviewing deliverables for compliance with technical specifications.
• Establish and enforce development standards, coding practices, and system architecture guidelines.
• Review system designs and technical documentation to ensure alignment with performance, security, and scalability requirements.
• Coordinate with product, compliance, and operations teams to define technical requirements and implementation timelines.
• Evaluate system performance metrics and oversee remediation of system defects and operational issues.
• Participate in hiring decisions, performance evaluations, and ongoing technical training of engineering personnel.
• Oversee integration of backend services, APIs, databases, and cloud infrastructure components.
• Manage release schedules and deployment processes for production systems.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls, data security requirements, and regulatory considerations applicable to payment and POS systems.

• Manage teams developing applications using React.
• Manage backend systems built with TypeScript, Node.js, and Express.js.
• Manage systems using relational databases, specifically PostgreSQL, and SQL database systems such as Redis.
• Manage development of REST-based APIs and GraphQL.
• Manage software systems deployed on cloud platforms, specifically AWS.
