Job description

Position: Information System Security Officer (ISSO) Level 2

DarkStar Intelligence is seeking a highly skilled Information System Security Officer (ISSO) Level 2 to support cybersecurity initiatives in a classified environment. The ideal candidate will apply national security policies and cybersecurity frameworks to maintain and enhance the security posture of critical information systems. This role requires expertise in security compliance, risk assessment, and collaboration with security professionals to ensure adherence to evolving security standards.

• Polygraph: Required

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

1. Apply National level Security Policies including ICD 503 and NIST 800 Series to attain or maintain a security posture for an information system.
2. Apply CNSS Instruction No.1253 to attain or maintain a security posture for an information system.
3. Communicate and interact with Security Control Assessor (SCA) and Information System Security Engineer (ISSE) regarding security posture of an information system.
4. Apply Information Security Policies, Standards, and methodologies including NIST control families: Access Control, Audit and Accountability, Configuration Management, and Incident Response.
5. Evaluate technical solutions and proposed changes to a system for compliance with security requirements and controls.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Current Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph
2. US Citizen
3. Bachelor of Science Degree in an IT Discipline with four years of experience in roles such as SA, ISSO, ISSE, IT Service Desk, CND Analyst, Telecommunication Technician, or Network Administration.
4. Compliance with DoD 8570.01-M at IAM Level I or higher.

Additional Information

Salary Range: $180,000 - $190,000. This is a guideline; actual compensation depends on various factors including experience, education, and skills.
