Job description

Intelliforce is seeking a mission-driven Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to join our team supporting complex and high-impact projects in the Intelligence Community. This role is ideal for a security professional who thrives in dynamic environments and is passionate about shaping secure system architectures from the ground up.
You will lead and support efforts to obtain and maintain system accreditations (IATT and ATO), ensure the integrity and security of mission-critical systems, and work alongside engineers, developers, and ISSMs to deliver reliable, accredited solutions. If you have a deep understanding of RMF processes, cybersecurity best practices, and can effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, we’d love to hear from you.

Here’s what your day-to-day might include:

  • Leading security architecture and systems engineering efforts to support system accreditation
  • Preparing and maintaining System Security Plans (SSPs) and supporting documentation for ATO submissions
  • Collaborating with ISSMs, DAOs, and development teams to ensure compliance and continuous authorization
  • Creating and managing artifacts such as data flows, risk assessments, hardware/software inventories, POA&Ms, and audit reports
  • Applying continuous monitoring techniques to evaluate systems’ security posture and recommending mitigations
  • Performing regular vulnerability scans using tools like ACAS/Nessus, and reviewing audit logs weekly
  • Driving data transfers from CACI Hanover to Ft. Meade weekly as part of the security workflow
  • Supporting PRIVAC requests and extensions
  • Overseeing the implementation of software patches and configuration changes in response to identified risks
  • Driving tasking for developers and system administrators based on scan results, patching requirements, and RMF feedback

Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
  • Clearance: Active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph
  • Citizenship:Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must meet IAM Level I certification requirements per DoD 8570.01-M with at least one of the following:
    • CAP, CND, Cloud+, GSLC, Security+CE, HCISPP, CASP+CE, CISM, CISSP (or Associate), CCISO
For System Administrator Level 1 LCAT:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, or 7 years of relevant experience (4 years may be substituted for degree)
  • Minimum of 4 years as an ISSO on programs of similar scope and complexity
For ISSO Level 2 LCAT:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or 10 years of ISSO experience (4 years may be substituted for degree)
  • Experience in at least two of the following areas:
    • Security tools, hardware/software security, communication protocols, or encryption techniques
Preferred Experience:
  • Strong understanding of ICD 503, NIST 800-53, and Risk Management Framework (RMF)
  • Experience developing and maintaining SSPs, reviewing IAVA alerts, and handling scan results
  • Familiarity with task tracking systems (e.g., JIRA, Redmine, ServiceNow)
  • Working knowledge of PKI authentication, security policies within the IC, and risk assessment methodologies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for briefing technical concepts to stakeholders and leadership

Compensation Range: $99,000.00 - $194,000.00
*The salary range provided reflects an estimate based on current market trends and may be adjusted based on factors such as the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications. The final offer will be tailored after a thorough evaluation of the candidate’s background and suitability for the role.
