Job summary

Abacus Technology Corporation seeks an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to support security and information assurance activities for Joint Base Langley AFB. This is a full-time position.

The ideal candidate will be a US citizen with a current Secret clearance, hold Sec+ and Linux+ CE certifications (or higher), and have 5+ years of information security experience. Enterprise IA program management and DoD policy compliance are key responsibilities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of information security experience.
• HS diploma or GED.
• Security+ and Linux+ CE certifications (or higher).
• U.S. citizen with a current Secret clearance.
• Familiarity with Air Force, DoD and applicable Federal Cybersecurity directives.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, oversee, and maintain IA program for the customer.
• Ensure proper configuration of servers, workstations, and software for secure operation.
• Assist with asset management responsibilities.
• Support compliance with local ECO and DoD requirements and use tracking tools/SharePoint.

Abacus Technology is seeking an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to support security and information assurance activities for Joint base Langley AFB. This is a full-time position.

Responsibilities

Must be a US citizen with a Secret clearance, must have a Sec+ and Linux+ certification or higher.

• Develop, implement, oversee, and maintain customer organization information assurance (IA) program that identifies IA requirements, personnel, processes, and procedures.
• Ensure servers, workstation applications, peripherals, communications devices, operating systems, and application software are properly configured for network operation, on-line, and are available to users.
• Assist the Primary Property Custodian in performing asset management responsibilities.
• Assist with compliance of local ECO and DoD requirements, training, and use of approved tracking tools/databases/SharePoint sites.
• Ensure customer organization compliance with government, Air Force, and local policies and regulation for hardware asset management.

Qualifications

5+ years experience in information security. HS diploma or GED. Must be Security+, and Linux+ CE certified. Strong knowledge of Air Force, DoD and applicable Federal Cybersecurity Directives and Instructions. Able to work dynamically and effectively with people on projects (formal and informal) and conduct technical interchanges as required. Strong communication, organizational, customer service and critical thinking skills. Must be a US citizen and hold a current Secret clearance.
