  • Provide recommendations regarding the release or withholding of information.
  • Record review decisions accurately in the appropriate customer systems.

  • Identify Other Government Agency (OGA) equities and prepare for referral or coordination.

Position Overview

F&A Technologies LLC is seeking Information Review and Release Analysts to support a dynamic Intelligence Community office at the Fort Meade, Maryland campus. Candidates may work full-time or part-time, with part-time employees working a minimum of 16 hours per week.

The selected candidate will conduct detailed research and first-level reviews of classified information to support information review and release decisions. This position requires the ability to thoroughly evaluate the substance and context of documents and apply applicable requirements under Executive Order 13526, the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), and the Privacy Act (PA).

The successful candidate will use strong analytical and critical-thinking skills to evaluate individual cases, determine appropriate redactions, document the rationale for decisions, and provide recommendations regarding the release of information. The analyst will also research previous release decisions to promote accuracy and consistency and will identify Other Government Agency (OGA) equities requiring referral or coordination.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough research into the substance, context, and history of assigned documents and cases.
  • Perform first-level reviews of classified documents and information.
  • Evaluate documents in accordance with Executive Order 13526, FOIA, and the Privacy Act.
  • Identify information requiring protection and determine appropriate redactions.
  • Perform electronic and/or manual redactions of classified and protected information.
  • Apply legally defined exemption codes and document the rationale supporting redaction decisions.
  • Provide recommendations regarding the release or withholding of information.
  • Record review decisions accurately in the appropriate customer systems.
  • Research previous release decisions, related cases, and historical determinations to promote consistency and accuracy.
  • Identify Other Government Agency (OGA) equities associated with individual cases.
  • Prepare OGA equities for referral, coordination, or further review as appropriate.
  • Utilize customer systems, databases, and other tools supporting the information review and release process.
  • Apply critical-thinking and analytical skills when evaluating complex or unique cases.
  • Conduct research and analysis using established professional methods and techniques.
  • Effectively manage data and information throughout the review process.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of review decisions and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with customer personnel and other stakeholders as needed.
  • Support additional information review and release activities as required.
Required Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience conducting first-level reviews of classified documents and making recommendations for redaction and/or release.
  • Prior experience supporting the customer in information review and release functions.
  • Significant Intelligence Community experience, including experience in areas such as:
    • SIGINT
    • Foreign Intelligence
    • Cybersecurity
    • Intelligence Operations
    • Intelligence Analysis
    • Cryptography
  • Experience as an intelligence analyst, foreign disclosure officer, CD/CI/CT analyst, or in another position requiring significant analytical skills.
  • Significant historical knowledge of customer policies related to information security and classification.
  • Strong understanding of customer missions, organizational structure, and functions.
  • Familiarity with customer, Intelligence Community, and Department of Defense policies and regulations concerning information security and classification.
  • Experience conducting research and analysis involving large or complex sets of data and information.
Work Schedule

Candidates may be considered for full-time or part-time employment.

Part-time employees must work a minimum of 16 hours per week. Work will be performed on the Fort Meade campus.

Security Requirement

This position requires an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph. The candidate's background investigation and polygraph examination must have occurred within the previous seven years.
