Job summary

McDermott Will & Schulte seeks an Information Governance Risk and Compliance Analyst in a hybrid role across Dallas, Austin, Atlanta, San Francisco, and Chicago. You will manage information governance initiatives, ensure compliance with laws and policies, and support client transfers and offboarding using iManage and ServiceNow.

Collaborate with attorneys and staff, document controls, coordinate transfers, and help implement best practices for data security, workflows, and analytics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or at least two years of related work experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Ability to handle and maintain confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Understand and articulate Information Governance policies to firm stakeholders.
• Resolve inquiries related to Information Governance policies and procedures.
• Coordinate identification, transfer, and collection of materials for attorney departures, lateral moves, or client transfers.
• Transfer electronic records to/from the Firm’s Document Management System (iManage) and other repositories.
• Ensure data and metadata are correctly imported, classified, and assigned to client/matter workspaces.
• Document and classify outbound (off-boarding) digital records for due diligence in ServiceNow.
• Maintain positive working relationships with attorneys during onboarding/offboarding.
• Support security controls and metadata structures within Information Governance systems.
• Develop and implement information governance procedures, controls, and educational materials.
• Assist in security implementation for access to workspaces/folders.
