Job summary

G MASS Consulting seeks an Information Barriers Consultant to join the Legal & Compliance function of a leading global financial services firm. You will own day-to-day management of an established information barriers programme, operating independently from day one in a mature control environment and coordinating with engineers on access management.

Based in Midtown, New York, the role offers the potential to convert to a permanent employee after year one.

Qualifications

• Direct experience managing an information barriers programme.
• Experience in regulated financial services preferred.
• Ability to engage engineers on systems architecture and access management.
• Proven persistence across a large, matrixed organisation.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end management of the firm's information barrier controls across both entities.
• Coordinate addition of new information barriers across systems and teams.
• Monitor daily exception reports and investigate anomalies.
• Administer electronic IB controls across AD, Unix groups, and service accounts.
• Manage physical IB controls including badge access and desk moves.
• Oversee transfer nuking process and deactivating reissuing system access.
• Review and approve new department IB assignments and barrier configurations.
• Manage Shared Resources Dashboard and track technology infrastructure usage.
• Review new software requests from a compliance perspective.
• Administer entitlements within internal access management systems.
• Conduct annual audits of Firewall groups and Shared Resources Dashboard.
• Perform periodic testing of IB AD and Unix groups.
• Track workstreams and report to senior leadership via JIRA.
